Today I had a photoshoot in New Braunfels with a good friend from college who is getting married on Halloween this year. I will upload a sneak peak later, but right I need to get ready for this wedding tomorrow. Yes I know… a lot of Holiday wedding this year. Before I go tho, I will post a photo in keeping with the flow of updating every day this month. As tired as I am, all it takes is one day to break the chain and you get lazy. Kinda like working out. lol

Anyways, so this lil guy nearly scared us to death when we drove up to take pictures on the Texas State campus. We could’ve sworn it was a snake the way he popped his head out the water and flicked his tonuge out at us. I guess to be merciful he swam up to the surface more so we could see his shell, but rail or no rail… I was fixing to be out of there. lol Goodnite everybody.

I seriously love my parents. I can honestly say that God knew what He was doing when He “BLESSED” heh heh, them with me (and vica versa) so many many years ago. I have been accused of being spoiled on occasion, and though I LOVE to argue that that isn’t true… but it’s not entirely untrue… Though I am not one of those spoiled princesses who you’ll see on my Super Sweet 16 (and not just because I am WAY past 16), and my parents certainly didn’t give me everything I wanted growing up… I don’t know how many times I have called them to bring stuff up to my job when I forgot it, or helped me get “organized” which honestly sometimes feels like a waste of energy. Or let me be a total pain when I wasn’t feeling well, because they knew I would come back an apologize for it later… maybe.

I remember my senior year of college, them packing up in the jeep and driving from San Antonio to Austin when my best friend and I got stranded in South Austin after her car just gave out on her. I had never seen her cry before and that is how I knew we were in trooooouble… “Hello operator? I need to make a collect call…”

Today was another example of my parents coming to my rescue. I really needed a back up camera, and I thought I was going to get my coveted 5D, but somethings feel thru, and I just wasn’t going to be able to get it. Insert my sad face here. But I need a back up so I was trying to decided whether or not to rent a camera for my wedding this weekend or to different camera until I could afford the one I wanted. So this week I prayed and was like Lord please give me the peace to know what to do.

Well I woke up on Wednesday with a mission… I was like Mariah Carey, Make it happen! So I called Best Buy to see if they had one in stock, and they did… at the Best Buy across town. It was suppose to be sent to that store today, but in a mix up, they sent the wrong camera to the store up the street so today my dad and I drove WAY on the other side of town to pick up my camera. And when I say WAY I mean WAY. lol And my dad put it on his card and I will pay it off, not only that… I had a 10% coupon and they extended my financing. Whoo hoo!!!

So now it’s time to kick it in gear so I can pay that sucker off. I see a sale coming in the near future. lol Big thanks to Haley and Liz at Best Buy for helping me so much in getting this camera in time for my shoot tomorrow. Free photoshoot on me girls just hollar when you’re ready! ;)

And without further ado… introducing my new camera!!! I need to come up with a name for him. I name all my camera. Any ideas?! lol Two days blogging in a row?! And I worked out?! I’m on a roll… And with that I am going to bed. Have a wonderful evening. Goodnite!

So I told myself for the month of July I would do a couple of things…  Spend more time reading my bible and less time on facebook. It’s funny how my brother admitted his recent addiction to it after much prying from me to get on there more often.  I was going to start my 30-shred DVD, again. Tried it once last month and seriously… I need to get in shape just to do this work out dvd, no lie… Sorry I had to call you outta your name a couple of times Jillian… you were hurting your girl something serious over here.

I also said I would blog everyday… as much as possible. I don’t know why it slips my mind so much. Back in the day when personal websites were big, I would blog ALL the time and now that I can fill up my post with pretty pictures instead of spending hours (okay maybe not hours) coming up with something profound (not that it was always that profound), you’d think I’d do it more often right?! You obvious don’t know me that well. lol

I was tempted to write a entry about Michael Jackson… but I definitely would not have the time to knock one out before 12, so I will refrain. So instead will put up a couple of pictures I sent to my cousin and uncle for our family reunion that we had to miss. I was so sad about that. Maybe next time.

Titi

Titi will be two a week from today!!! I can’t believe how fast they grow up. Right now they are in Germany right now visiting their Oma and my brother informed me that Niecy and her lil cousin are running things. lol And before you ask, yes… these were taken on a white, er, beige sheet hanging on the treadmill in the living room to make Christmas gifts for the family. Maybe we should’ve ironed out the sheet huh? lol Hope you are having a blessed one. Hug someone and tell them you love them.

Today we had an awesome Father’s Day program at our church. We have a group of young men who do mime praise dancing and they performed to Never Would Have Made It by Marvin Sapp. If you are familar with gospel music then you know this song.

This week was so draining… emotionally… and it was HOT too. It was mixed with joy with the birth of babies… and sadness of young life tragically lost. I sometimes get frustrated with the fact that I am so emotional. Especially since I am not the most affectionate of persons, and those two normally go hand and hand.  However, I believe this ability God has given me to feel deeply for other people is His way of fulling  Romans 12:15 in my life.  And as I have gotten older I”ve come to see the blessing in not only rejoicing with those who rejoice, but also in being able to mourn with those who mourn.

Here are a few pictures from today’s praise dance. I wish I had a video of it because it really blessed my spirit and I know it would yours too… However hopefully these pics are enough.

Tell the ones you love you love them, you never know when it’ll be your last chance. Oh. And Happy Father’s Day Daddy! Love ya!

Sylvia Borgo: Yes, a video would be fabulous, but your great images are a very close second. :)

Jé: They do such a good job! And I think the oldest one is 20. One day I will have to add a video. Just for you!

I know I know… call me the delinquent blogger. It has been over a month since my last journal entry and I have no other excuse other than life and laziness getting the best of me. Needless to say I have been doing a lot of shooting in the last month so I have a lot of entries to add over the next few days.

This entry is of Ms. Jalysa, who is now officially a high school graduate. Woo hoo!!! You go girl. These photos were taken in downtown San Antonio which I have recently come to fall in love with. And I loved all the color especially in the first two. I have known Jalysa for many many years so it was a lot of fun shooting these and hopefully we can get out & shoot again. Maybe with that bad prom dress she kept telling me about. lol

Well enough of the chattiness and on to the photos. I have a favorite. Can you tell which one it is?!

Jé: The last one is my favorite too! Thanks guys!

Richelle Dante: These are great! I love, love, love all the color!

Rita: Ditto on the colour! Loving the orange/blue combination. My fav is the last shot. Love her content expression, yet deep down you can see she is proud that she graduated. It's the modest "I did it!" look.

Sylvia Borgo: She is a beauty! Your work is always such a pleasure and inspiration! :)
