Turtle Turtle Turtle

July 3, 2009

Today I had a photoshoot in New Braunfels with a good friend from college who is getting married on Halloween this year. I will upload a sneak peak later, but right I need to get ready for this wedding tomorrow. Yes I know… a lot of Holiday wedding this year. Before I go tho, I will post a photo in keeping with the flow of updating every day this month. As tired as I am, all it takes is one day to break the chain and you get lazy. Kinda like working out. lol

Anyways, so this lil guy nearly scared us to death when we drove up to take pictures on the Texas State campus. We could’ve sworn it was a snake the way he popped his head out the water and flicked his tonuge out at us. I guess to be merciful he swam up to the surface more so we could see his shell, but rail or no rail… I was fixing to be out of there. lol Goodnite everybody.

Sneak Peak: Jalysa

May 17, 2009

I’ve been meaning to update for a while… and even know I am typing as fast as my little finger will allow because I am late for our church picnic and I want to get there before all the good stuff is gone. lol

Before I go I will leave you with two photos from my Senior Session I shot with Jaylsa last Saturday. Now Jaylsa is normally the one I would call to help me with a session, however, because she was the one graduating I asked Chris aka “Huff” to tag along and help. I am so glad I did… If you can’t tell from these photos he kept us laughing all morning. More pictures to come later…

Pamela Telgenhoff: These are great! SO colorful!

jules: Love the 2nd one. The colors are awesome! But the last one -- the laughing shot -- I love that. Congratulations to both of you!

jules: Oops. Posted in sort of the wrong comment area, but also, sort of the right comment area. When I said "love the 2nd one," I meant the 2nd one in the post above this one! Doh! But I do love that laughing shot!

Jé: It's okay Jules... they are right behind each other so I understand. lol Thanks guys!

Jara, Keylan and I all new each other from our college days at the now Texas State, tho we knew it as SWT or S-Dub as it was referred to often back then. Wow… I am showing my age. At the time they got together, Rae and Keylan both worked at Financial Aide and I knew Keylan from singing in GEA’s (Gospel Expressions Associations) choir.

Every year the Mu Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha holds an annual Love Gala. That year we were sitting in the Den eating lunch when a certain young Alpha named Clifton walks up to our table and asks if we would be attending this year. Rae replies, in a very sarcastic way I might add, “Who am I gonna go with?! Myself?!” lol We all laughed, but undaunted he points to both Rae and Keylan sitting side by side at our little square table, and says “Well… ya’ll can go together…”

We all laugh… again. lol But as our laughter died down, Keylan asks with all sincerity “What do you say, you wanna go together?!”

“You serious?!” my friend replies, turning to look at him out the corner of her eye. Almost as to check the validity of his invitation.

“Yeah! Let’s go!”

“Okay…”

And that was a wrap. I doubt they even thought about each other in a romantic manner before that, but I like to think that God orchestrated it ever so keenly so that they’d get together. When Keylan and Jara started dating, I can’t say that I was all that thrilled because I kept thinking, “Why is this boy consuming all of my best friend’s time?!” But if I had to get replaced in the best friend area, I’m not mad that it’s Keylan… anymore. lol I’m still a little salty at that rendition of “Boom I got your best friend… I got yo’ friend, I got her!” Not cool. Keylan not cool. lol

Matt & Sabrina

April 21, 2009
The last week and a half has been so busy for me!!! But I wanted to take a minute to post some of Matt and Sabrina’s wedding photos that I shot the day before Easter. It was held at the beautiful Bright Shawl in downtown San Antonio. I took several photos and here are just a few of my favorite of the ceremony. I’ve know Matt’s brother Rick for years, so when their mother asked if I would take some pictures of the ceremony, I was more than happy to oblige. I’ve been to several functions at the Morante household so it was nice to see his family all dressed up and daper.

Happy Easter Everybody!!!

April 12, 2009
I am deliriously tired. I had a long day and I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow, however I couldn’t let this day pass without acknowledging my Savior. I love Him, because He loved me enough to die for my sins. As a child of Christ, Easter is probably my favorite holiday. I love Christmas and all, but I am at an age where the gifts don’t really mean as much as just spending time with my family. And as important as it is to celebrate Christ being born, I think it’s even more so that He died… but because without the death, I wouldn’t be free today. That doesn’t mean I’m perfect or that I got it all together in some way. No… however press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

I am about to call it a nite but before I do I want to post a sneak Matthew and Sabrina’s wedding last nite. Hope everybody had a blessed Easter Day or Resurrection Day as some people call it. And goodnite!

Tammie: I love the Cala Lillies on their Lapels...That is so exqusite! Your artistry in photos & web design is AMAZING!
