Great Day SA

July 6, 2009

So I didn’t get to post yesterday. It was 104 and that sun zapped the life out of me so a four hour nap was in order… that was ALMOST how much sleep I had the nite before. Well after the evening service my friends and I went to Applebee’s and by the time I got home, well a post would’ve been on today anyway. lol

Though I stayed out late, there was no sleeping in early today because my dad was going to have a segment on the local talk show called Great Day SA. He was going to be talking about the Math Camp we are going to be having at our church in August. It’s a really awesome idea they came up with last year to help kids sharpen their math skills for the TAKS test (which if you live in Texas you probably know ALL about…) and have fun doing it.

I, along with a lot of our church family and kids that had participated in the Math Camp piled in the studio to support him. And I can honestly say I had an AWESOME time. I was clapping when no one else was clapping… lol Ken was doing the Arsenio Hall, Whoo Whoo Whoo… lol Chik-fil-A also did a segment on the show and they had this AWESOME spread and gave away free food. There were Chik-fil-A cows and everything. Yep. AWESOME!!! lol

We weren’t able to take pictures during the show because it’s taped live… but I was able to take some before the show and after so I’ll post a few up so you can see. I think it’s funny that so many people wanted to sit at the News desk. I was crackin up! lol Thanks Bridget, Kellie and Amy for making us feel so welcome!!! And Amy I hope you don’t find any more squirrels in your home anytime soon. lol

toya: maranatha looks good on set!

Jé: Girl they had SO much fun! It was crazy. lol

So it’s been a week since my friend walked down the aisle and became Mrs. Marshall… I shed a tear or two when I saw her mom tear up… And I saw you throw your shades on Mrs. Evans. You ain’t slick. lol I was in the actual wedding so it was shot by the talent Collins Metu who I always enjoy hanging out with.

I love watching Collins shoot because I can never figure out he can be so seriously on his game & still just be as laidback. Now that… that’s talent I tell you. lol I followed him and second shooter Akil around like a lil puppy dog after the ceremony to watch them in action. Which was not an easy as you may think in my heels. lol My feet were literally barking by the end of the nite, but it was well worth it. The photos on the blue doors are awesome. I can’t wait to see more!!!

The newlyweds with their photographer.

The newlyweds and myself… trying to hide the “girls”. lol

Sylvia Borgo: Ooooh, the behind the scenes shots. Fun! :)

Jé: It was fun! I wish I had had a video camera. lol

It’s hard to imagine that I have been up since 6:16 this morning… That’s right 6:16… That is the time that glowed on my clock when I blinked my eyes open a full 3 hours (and some change) before my alarm was to go off and a mere 4 hours after I was able to fall asleep. Normally I would’ve just rolled over and went straight back to sleep. But my throat was starting to feel pained again… (darn allergy infection). I made myself get up to gargle with water and peroxide and my mother my mother comes in the kitchen and suggests taking some ibuprofen for my throat pain… My mother is a very smart woman. I don’t know how many times I woke her up outta her sleep when I was little and she had some kinda quick fix it remedy. So now I feel better than I have all week…

Anyways, what exactly is my point for writing this, well my throat pain is my excuse for not bloggin in over a week. lol Yeah I know slacker you say but I blame it on the allergies. lol Seriously, the other day I went to get it in my car and it was covered in a sheet of fine dust from some kind of tree pollen…

Well, off to find some place to get my bridesmaids dressed hemmed… curse those tiny genes of mine! But as to not leave this post completely pictureless… here is a photo of my friend/ the bride-to-be & her sister from this weekend and then a group shot of some of the girls. Only 15 days left! The countdown is on!!! For me anyways. I’m sure she has been counting down WAY before now. lol

The Cooper Family

April 2, 2009

I am literally on my way out the door… I have so much to do before I go to Houston this weekend. For someone who doesn’t like Houston traffic, I sure have to be up there a lot. lol It’s okay… I like the trip. Very peaceful… And less traffic… well up until I actually hit the city…

Before I bounce, I wanted to post a few pics. I was visiting with Kem and her family last week and I wanted to take a minute to post a couple of our impromptu photoshoot… Did I spell that right?! I will check when I get back.

I will probably add more later. They had an easter egg hunt and it came out so cute.

Flashback Friday

March 27, 2009
I cannot believe it has been a WHOLE WEEK since I posted last. I really need to do better. But I guess since it is Friday (again), I have some more flash back Friday pics for you. These are of Ms. Cassandra Rose. When her mom called me and told me that she really wanted Auntie Jenny to come to her cheer competition, I of course said yes. I mean honestly, who could resist that freckle face? lol

And I had to add one with Cassandra looking real serious and into her routine. I can’t believe she’s going to be seven this year! Man I am getting old…er, older. And Anaiya is going to be 5! Who is Anaiya you ask?! She is the oldest of my brother’s three girls. Yes three. Hmmm… I see more pictures coming… Oh and I took some cute pictures of Kem’s family the other day when I was over there visiting so stay tuned people. All this… NEXT WEEK. lol

Tanya Perez: Sooo Cute!
