Happy Birthday Papa!

March 29, 2009

Yesterday was my dad’s 55th birthday!!! My brother called and he had each of my nieces sing Happy Birthday “Papa” as they call him on the answer machine… then later in the day they sent a video of them singing to his phone. It was too cute. Imitating Anaiya, my oldest niece, at Christmas time, my dad threw his hands in the air and exclaimed “This is my bestest birthday present EVER!” lol

Here are some pictures of daddy and my youngest niece TiTi acting silly during their Christmas time visit.

I didn’t want anybody else to feel left out, so here’s picture of daddy with Niecy and Anaiya. Niecy doesn’t seem too interested in the photo, huh?

Mary Marantz: “This is my bestest birthday present EVER!” this makes me SMILE!!

Flashback Friday

March 27, 2009
I cannot believe it has been a WHOLE WEEK since I posted last. I really need to do better. But I guess since it is Friday (again), I have some more flash back Friday pics for you. These are of Ms. Cassandra Rose. When her mom called me and told me that she really wanted Auntie Jenny to come to her cheer competition, I of course said yes. I mean honestly, who could resist that freckle face? lol

And I had to add one with Cassandra looking real serious and into her routine. I can’t believe she’s going to be seven this year! Man I am getting old…er, older. And Anaiya is going to be 5! Who is Anaiya you ask?! She is the oldest of my brother’s three girls. Yes three. Hmmm… I see more pictures coming… Oh and I took some cute pictures of Kem’s family the other day when I was over there visiting so stay tuned people. All this… NEXT WEEK. lol

Tanya Perez: Sooo Cute!

Flashback Friday

March 20, 2009
Happy first day of Spring everybody!!! It’s a beautiful day outside! So I decided to post some pictures… just cause. My friend Patty SWEARS I never have any pictures of her on here (I told her then she is gonna have to come down here and do a shoot!) so it’s very fitting that I made her a part of my first flashback friday. lol These pictures are from our Girl’s Trip last Labor Day weekend in Houston. Rae wanted to get together and relax before baby #2 arrived.

You know… I spend a lot of time in Houston huh? You’d think I lived there.

(l-r) Rae, Patty, Shawnita & Katora aka the lovely ladies of ALO.

Here are two pics that I’m ACTUALLY in because 1) people say I never take photos and 2)that one with the tiger is just FIERCE! lol

Patty: That tiger picture is FIERCE! That was a great weekend! Blessings!

Rhonda & Cornelius

March 18, 2009
I know, I know. I am such a slacker. lol But I wanted to post pics from the engagement session I had in Houston with Rhonda & Cornelius (aka Tim who by the way I tried to give ANOTHER nickname too when I kept calling him Will. lol). They are such an fun couple and I love shooting with them.

Along to help was Michelle who will be helping me with their wedding in July, Shonta of Cater 2U who will be catering this fabulous affair, Rhonda’s daughter Lyric, who claims she’s never getting married (15 years from now we’ll see if she feels the same. lol) and lovely makeup artist LaTasha Rose who met Rhonda at her home to get ready. Yes we had a full crew, but Shonta, Latasha & Lyric really stepped back and let us do our thing. Below are a few shots, and then a spiffy slideshow. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

This is probably my favorite photo. On this edit I blew out the background so you really could focus on their expressions.

Such a cute mommy/daughter photo.

Shonta Smith: Jenny you never cease to amaze me! These photos capture love at its best! This is truly the WRIGHT kind of love.... Ok I'm corny but that is my client's new last name! :-) You gotta love that....

Gabrielle: girl you know i love these pictures. my friend is sitting here watching the slideshow and she loves them too. lol. she said she's loving all this black love.

Jé: LOL Thanks you guys. It was easy to snap such beautiful photos because they are such a beautiful couple. Can't wait til July!

Patty: I almost cried watching this slideshow. I don't even know these people! Black love is just beautiful! Great job Jenny! The Lauren Hill song is what got me! Come back Lauren! Blessings!

Just Like Honey

March 10, 2009
By definition I am not a true fan of any music artists out there… Even though the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is probably my favorite album of all time… and I’ve seen Alicia Keys in concert twice… However anybody who really knows me knows I LOVE Mariah Carey… some people think she’s off but I don’t care… I think she’s fun. lol And there’s no denying the woman can sing. I still remember my very amused roommate catching me dancin my lil heart out(or at least trying to) in front of the tv to the “Honey” video my freshmen year. Yeah. lol So when it came up on my winamp playlist, I had to get up & shake it a little.

Would you like a lil shake too?! Well here you go.

And now back to my regularly scheduled editing.
